According to your church (ward) or members I am anti-mormon. So accept that so call me a bigot if you want and listen to what you are told. The reason they label me anti-whatever is out of fear of the truth. The truth is that the FLDS cult in Texas beliefs are rooted in the lies of Joseph Smith. Just like any debate leveled against his teachings are met with this anti-mormon sentiment so to is it on display in Texas.
1) Joseph Smith claimed he is a prophet of god that he had to write the Book of Mormon because the Bible had been tainted when rewritten over time. Or something to that effect the point is polygamy and racism were written into the original versions of his book. Now they are written out of it.
2) Smith also claimed to posses these "Seer Stones" he claimed to use in a hat to translate to words written as the Book of Mormon. But then when asked to translate ancient Eygptian Hyroglifs he with the same certainty he told a story that was later proven to be so absolutly made up to fit his new religious agenda it is laughable. His whole story was debunked when historians discovered the real translation techniques.
3) That is why Mormons pay big buck for artifacts of their religion from it inception in 1830 to try and hide the truth from their 10%ers the church makes big money off their CTR claim & special underwear. So anything that would cast a dought on that even some huge frauds like the now famous Salimander Letters get bought up to hide the truth.
4) Mormons believe they become god in the celestial kingdom. To become god the must go through Joseph Smith and his teachings. Despite the first commandment "You shall have no other gods before Me". The point here is that Jesus told parables about our knowledge and understandings of his will. Smith bears false witness against all Christian raligions by claiming the Bible is false and by inserting himself infront of salvation. While Catholic pray to Mary mother of Jesus and other Saints may be true. I have never heard a single prayer uttered in my church to any other than God.
5) They say they also believe in the Bible but only recognize the King James version of it. They claim all other versions are altered even though no recognizable differences other than the "Shakepearan Engligh" with which the King James is written exist.
6) Mormons don't recruit non-religious peoples as much as they activly campaign to convert chrristians to their beliefs. That is why they called themselves The Church of Jesus Christ LDS. Kinda of like the Democrats calling themselves the Democratic Party, as if.
7a) Just as Mohamed claimed to see god so to did Smith. Nowhere in the Bible had anyone EVER claimed to have actually seen God as a man. Moses claimed to see God through a burning bush, Adam heard his voice in the Garden of Eden.
7b) Just like Mohamed Smith was illiterate when he dictated from a hat the Book of Mormon.
7c) They both set up strict guidlines for their followers on accpetable diets, clothes and both restrict alclohol because they see it as a threat. That is why Mormons drink water in their version of communion. Last I heard it was because the water was undrinkable in Jesus time which make no sense what so ever. Water from wells was used back then and is to this day drinkable. Water is a key ingredient in wine. Also that would mean that they believe alot of other unsavory things about Jesus and his disciples.
8) The facts are the facts LDS did CHANGE it's doctrine to accomadate the laws against polygamy. It wasn't a choice they willingly made. They also had written into their religious text that blacks and anyone with a dark skin pigmentation was decendent of Cain and was cursed with that dark skin because Cain killed his brother Able. Even Brigham Young wrote extensivly about that before it was later changed.
9) After that the FLDS split from the LDS because they held to those original Smith doctrines. Smith was a child molester preying on girls in their early teens using his power as church leader to make them his wives. Which is why we don't hear a whole lot from LDS about the FLDS because after all it is rooted in their founding.
Sorry but I have done and will continue to research this cult. Smith was a false prophet as warned of many times in the Bible. I have seen first hand the mind control on display in the LDS church. I was never an LDS member but it significantly impacted my life. All you have to do is talk to someone who grew up believing the whole world is out to get them because they are LDS who has succesfully pulled away from the church to really understand what I mean. The talker will tell you they are the nicest people on earth but there is a whole other side to LDS. They act real nice until you tell them you don't want to join there church then they turn on you like a mad dog.
