Playing the LDS Card (take 2)

Mitt needs something as his campaign begins to lose momentum
months ahead of the New Hampshire Primary.
If you watched the buildup to the GOP primary 2008 season Hugh Hewitt’s
book “A Mormon in the Whitehouse” came out at almost this exact point in the
cycle.

New Hampshire is the point at which McCain scored his first
primary victory and Romney’s campaign is on the record as using the McCain 08’
model. Mitt won’t even try to compete
for Iowa so why on earth is he showing up at a “Values Voters Straw Poll”? This is his campaign’s way of making any
objection to Mitt as having its’ roots in his religion.

Sean Hannity’s altar room to Romney is identical to an Obama
voters he just isn’t broadcasting his show there on location yet; by December
he will. Ann Coulter’s back in ‘love the
one you’re with’ mode now that Christy broke her heart again. Despite his consistent surge in the polls and
Romney’s clear stagnate status neither really take Herman Cain’s rise top tier
seriously.

The devil is often in the details of ones words; Ann Coulter
said in response to what she thought of Cain, “he would make a great VP for
Romney”. She and Sean Hannity went on to
discuss Romney’s “only” negatives ‘Romney-care’ and LDS. They know just as with Obama Romney can’t run
on his record.

Romney’s record as governor of Massachusetts is crystal
clear and in his own words. Romney explained
his pro-abortion beliefs tying them to a story a family friend who died in a
“back alley abortion”. He has supported
gay marriage, single payer healthcare, and opposition to the war on
terrorism. Every one of these positions
he now completely denounces or has seriously modified.

This is where the LDS or any religion from the Algore’s
earth god of Liberalism to questions on Kennedy’s Catholic religion becomes an
issue when electing a commander and chief.
The President of the United States has enormous power and when misused
as we are seeing now it negatively affects every American. The question is will any president be
negatively influenced by religion to work against the best interests of the
American people.

President Obama’s administration promotes a wealth
redistribution model that comes from his religious faith in ‘black liberation
theology’. Despite its’ absolute failures
to uplift the poor and the overall negative economic impact on the market Obama
through faith justifies the course.
Countless examples exist of people acting out the tenants of their faith
against their own best interests and those of others around them.

For this reason we must be certain that when hiring a
president that he/she would govern consistent with our Constitution not against
it if they can find a religious justification for their actions. Does LDS have such an influence over Romney
that he could justify similar bad policy?
That’s the question but the question is not is not being asked by voters
that question is being asked by the Romney Campaign.
