Clinton handled terrorism like Obama wants to as a law enforcement issue, so how is it we got to a point at which 19 hijackers could takeover 4 planes and bring down the world trade center towers and hit our pentagon??? With seven plus years of zero homeland attacks I would say Cheney might have something to say on the matter, in listening to his speech I don't know how undoing Bush policy that has worked (FACT) for a political gain is worth commending. Obama went after Bush on wire taps, Gitmo, Iraq, "torture" and the list keeps getting bigger but all these things he has reserved the right for himself to maintain as needed. That is the definition of a hypocrite, look at North Korea Bush was supposed to talk to these people, Obama read him the riot act for using China as a liaison to Pyongyang now this same Obama is talking about isolating them in the same dam terms Bush did for the same dam reason. With 50% of Jews in Israel behind a preemptive strike on Iran how can you or Politico or anyone say Obama's policy in the region is effective??? Any attempt to do so is juvenile nonsense the facts are unmistakeably clear. Obama has strengthened the resolve of our enemies and now both Iran and North Korea have gone from isolated third world rejects to the school yard bully that will have to be confonted. So since we have to goto the UN for everything because that is the Democrat way. How many resolutions will it take or will one of them start a nuclear war??? I thought these people were concerned about the planet and I haven't even mentioned Pakistan. So while we celebrate the heros of the past who layed their lives down so that we could take our positions on these issues without dictation from on high, try to put yourself in their shoes as life faded and think of the horror they might depart with knowing it may have all been in vane as we travel this road once again. So I don't really care about who any of the players are only that they play by the same rules and when that is not the case it is dishonest create senarios that simply don't exist. The GOP has always welcomed Democrats to vote for any of their candidates, not because we reached out but rather the results we acheive by our ideals. Reagan won because Carter lost, Carter lost because he tried to be all things to all people, just like Obama. Reagan got his chance because Carter misunderestimated his duty as president and Reagan like Bush won re-election because neither put a wet finger in the wind to make decissions.
