This will most likely be one of the last entrys I will make on this blog for some time. America has spoken, what it has said won't be heard for three months. I take alot from this election, everyone will have a chance to disagree with me but after this I will tell you I have better things to do than argue about it. This country faces huge challenges in the days ahead. We are going to see energy skyrocket along with taxes, entitlements and a general sense of me first.
I will say also that I estimate a few positive things will result from this however that I had never considered until this morning. Chief among those is the fact that this longest election cycle in American history is finally over. But that was obvious, no really when things that get handled by this administration we no longer have to hear that Mr. Bush did it. Think about that, by the MSM logic every single thing that they could say went wrong happened because George W Bush.
Now when 80% of the population who wants lower gas prices, an end to illegal immigration, and enjoys the national security they have taken for granted and it all goes the other way. Now they can blame themselves. We can expect amnesty, legitamite national security threats and $7/gallon gas by the end of Obama's first term.
Talk radio meet the fairness doctrine, and you know what to some degree I think that is a good thing. Sure I would like to see that apply to print and network TV. But the fact that it won't does not take away the fact that talk radio gave us John McCain. This party's common sense was hijacked by Rush, and his gang who went whole hog on Romney. Hughbert even wrote a book about him. I still believe that if they would have stayed out of telling primary voters who to vote for we would have been voting for Mike Huckabee. They wanted Romney despite his liberal record, lied about it and told everyone he was a 'Reagan Conservative'. So I think it is only fitting that there is some fall out from this election cycle that hits the talkers.
Democrats will change the face of our tax code, industries will close and unemployment figures will become astronomical. The change that is coming is one that will end our reign as 'super power' and the 'land or opportuinty'. I expect us to be in a real war in the next two years as foriegn countries see these vunerabilities. 9/11 was a test and the ones who brought it to bear knew these days would come which is why I believe we haven't seen them mount another attack. I think they are keeping their powder dry while they hope for change.
But keep this one thing in mind. America was never supposed to be the land that perfected anything. Our constitution was designed by those whose forsight saw these types of challenges and left us avenues of correction. The problem isn't America rather it lies in the complacency of people, and not people who hate or love their country but people who don't understand the costs of freedom. Most of the people who voted don't know how they took for granted the right to do so. Most can't fathom the thought of tyranical oppression. We don't have to convince them of this because they can only see it when they choose to open their eyes and see it for themselves. Until then faith in God is the only solice we have, nah nah nah Jeremiah, God bless America.
